Our Lily Patch

 Heh, this is but a fraction of the entire story, of course, but I thought I’d share. This came about because I was replying to an email from the birth pool company about my estimated shipping date. They then sent me another asking me for permission to post it on their website and voila!

Sorry for the delay on this, folks, but my usual laptop is on the fritz, thus; technical difficulties with uploading photos. There are more to come once Aaron finishes working his special magic & returns the errant machine to me, but I thought I’d tide you over with at least some of the shots from our visit to the second largest state in the union – a first for all three of us!

Grandpa Ron and “Nona” (that’s my stepmom Victoria – it’s Italian for grandmother, and she happens to be Italian) were most excellent hosts in their swanky new retirement community just outside Austin, and showered Lily with both affection and awesome new duds, including her very own authentic cowgirl hat!

She’ll fit right in when she visits. Perhaps they’ll even drop by and visit a certain other soon-to-be-retiree in Crawford. (HA! But I digress . . . )

But the greatest joy was seeing Lily meet my Grandma, her great-grandmother. Here she is with the still-spunky Edna Tegtmeier!

It was wonderful to see everyone else, too – check out some of the shots in the Gallery! And we’ve got other pics to come, including a great 4 generation one, so check back soon! Or  . . . shall I say it?
